TRAVEL TALES
led to human consumption to control their
population. Feeling a bit gross, I tried to work
up an appetite to taste it as it would be a once-
in-a-lifetime experience. On the plate, there
were ostrich meat in satay sauce which tasted
and looked like beef, grilled African chicken
which was really tender and juicy, and
scrambled eggs of ostriches which were a bit
creamier and less flavourful than those we have
in Hong Kong.
The flavour-packed seafood soup from a
Mediterranean seafood restaurant was a must-
try appetiser for me -- Mediterranean-style
sautéed tiger shrimp with just the right amount
of cilantro, fresh and sweet squids, soft
mussels, and some steamed cod with lemon
and
garlic,
which
added
a
flavourful
Mediterranean twist to the tomato-based
broth.
