Looking back and moving
forward

Last year, I have just graduated from high
school and entered university. There are lots of
differences between this new stage of life and
the previous one. Firstly, I was far away from
my home, living in the school dormitory
instead with family. Secondly, I had classmates
who are from distinctive parts of China, some
of them are even from other countries. So, it
was essential for me to find a proper way to
build new friendships with them, especially
since my old buddies were no longer present.
Thirdly, I had a more flexible curriculum
timetable compared to the stressful high school
class arrangements, leaving me plenty of time
to explore the surrounding area as well as
investing more time in my hobbies.
Initially, it seemed difficult for me to adjust
to this new situation. However, after several
attempts, I have begun to find a suitable path
for me. A new semester came along the year
2020, it is time for me to set off to a new
ambitious journey. I will spare more time and
put in more effort to attain a higher GPA and to
obtain a better command of English and
Cantonese.
