ARTISTS ' STUDIO Andy Warhol Eyes Printer ink on paper by : NGUYEN , Nathan Inspired by Andy Warhol’s Four Rows of Eyes (1952), the artist took liberties by drawing five rows of eyes. The eyes drawn likely belong to people whom the artist knew personally. These two nearly identical pieces differ in what appear to be color palettes. The piece dedicated to Haley features warm tones, Andy Warhol Eyes For Haley ( 2016 ) Printer ink on paper whereas the piece dedicated to Ben feature cool tones. Perhaps the artist’s printer ran out of blue ink as blue pigment appears to be absent in the Haley version. The stark contrast between the two versions nonetheless showcases ingenious innovation in the face of difficulty for the artist.
