MOTIVATION MEMO Before the Gakao English exam by : HUANG ,  Rongze Lance It was exactly thirty minutes before the English exam. I was sitting like a man who was sentenced to death. I could easily and clearly hear the sound of  my fragile heartbeat, yet I was eager to get rid of the shackles of this great pressure and set myself free towards a new world. I had spent years cramming for this exam at the expense of many other activities in hopes of attaining a high enough score that would grant me an admission to a well- ranked university.  Glancing around the room, I noticed how my competitors were all sweating like wet chickens. Some seemed already exhausted though the exam had not even started yet. However, a boy with focused eyes overshadowed the rest of the class; he looked very confident that he was going to perform well during the exam.  I realised that I had been striving to find my ambition before entering the classroom. I was determined to finish the exam regardless of the outcome. So what remained was being self-assured and maintaining great expectations for a bright future. I sighed with relief and smiled.
