INSPIRATIONAL . TALES Breaking The Wall An article by : DAI , Qianwen Aimee remind myself that if I could not eventually be a DTM, ( a distinguished Toastmaster) How could I lead him? up that role, so I decided to step up and cooperate with other 6 clubs. I have empowered some members to Toastmasters, as we all know, is where leaders are made. We have heard and read this sentence a lot. But do you also want to be a good speaker and a good lead different teams, and invited many excellent speakers. In the end, to our surprise, we sold out over 100 tickets and everything went well with our leader at the same time? Napoleon said, “He who doesn't want to be a general isn't a good soldier.” I say, a toastmaster who does not want to be a leader is not a good speaker. We are born to be different, and we have our own leadership styles. You can be a good collaboration and efforts. We broke the walls together through teamwork. On the last lecture, Prof. Randy Pausch said, “The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we leader only if you want. At toastmasters, we aim to break our barriers, and the difficulties and challenges are just like a wall in front of us. There is no limit if we want to lead. In 2015, I helped with organising a joint meeting between HK Oasis and several Toastmasters clubs in Guangzhou. At first, I was not the chair. But eventually, nobody wanted to take   want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They’re there to stop the other people.” In life, there is always an unknown wall in front of us, no matter what it is, no matter how frightened we probably feel, we shall always break the wall and move on to build better us!
