CHECKING - IN WITH THE ITS Watermelon Carving Event & Hocus Pocus: A Spooktacular Witchy Event An article by : Wash , A ' Jacia This Halloween, the Arthur Samy Language Learning Centre (ASLLC) did not only create one event, but two events. Hosted by the International Tutors, A’Jacia Wash, Lillian Massaro, Maria Belhaddad, Marcus Bennevall, Sylvia Guan, and Viviana Gonzalez Lobato, Watermelon Carving and Hocus Pocus: A Spooktacular Witchy Event aimed to teach students more about how different cultures celebrated Halloween and to enhance their English language skills through different activities. Learning about different cultures and having the opportunity to use that knowledge is something that the International Tutors wanted to achieve for the Halloween events this year. The International Tutors wanted to make more of their events accessible to everyone and that is why they decided to create two events in order to show the different sides of Halloween.
