TRAVEL TALES
During my forty-five minute bus ride along
the recently built Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau
bridge, I wondered about what my relatives
would be like. I imagined myself being the
usual, socially awkward, and slow person that I
am around people I am not close to. To my
relief, I was welcomed with open arms and
revitalised the warmth of a family I had not
enjoyed since my departure from home. For
the first time, I explored places that were out
of my world as though I was teleported to a
makeshift Europe. I had not seen all that
Macau had to offer but from what I had seen, I
was coloured impressed. While people often
say, “Curiosity killed the cat,” curiosity has
allowed this cat to overcome its fears and
enhance its passion for travel and culture.
