Motivational Moments

I have enjoyed teaching non-Chinese
speaking children in recent years. There
are lots of motivational moments in my
memory which are precious and
unforgettable. Let me share some of
them with you.
The first time I met these little kids
was about three years ago. I was very
nervous as I did not have any
experiences teaching them before.
I did not have much knowledge about
their cultures, languages, and moreover,
I even do not have skills in teaching
them Chinese effectively. I discovered
that all children are from different
countries, such as Pakistan, Indonesia,
India, Spain, Africa, Saudi Arabia,
Turkey…etc. The main point is that no
one could speak Chinese or even English
as well. I found that there were language
barriers between us, because they are a
