Printing and Scanning Facilities
Printing is available from the main IT Suite,
the Chancellor’s building and from
some schools.
Printing is available 24/7 (during semesters)
from the open access PCs and when
connected to the wireless network (through
your own laptop).
Printing services can be accessed using
your Keele card and prices start from
3p per sheet.
Our printers default to standard,
double-sided black and white; which
can be changed in the printer properties
settings prior to printing.
Assistive Facilities
We have two workstations, one located
in the main IT Suite and one in Lab 7,
which both have facilities to adjust the
height of the desk to accommodate a
mobility scooter or wheelchair. These
workstations have a large-screen
monitor and the one in the IT Suite
has a scanner attached.
On each of our PCs in the IT Suite and Labs,
we have some assistive software called
My Study Bar for example which includes
screen readers, text enlargers etc.

It is probably more cost-effective than
owning a desktop printer and you don’t
have to rush over straight away to pick up
your printing as your printer list is maintained
for approximately 24 hours. We also have
a high quality self-service printer available.

Within the main IT Suite situated in the
Library we have three A4 scanner PCs
available. Instructions are provided on
a laminated sheet on how to use them.
