Situeted in Reggio Calabria, is a Project Laboratory founded in 2000 by
Marina Tornatora, Michele Seminara and Ottavio Amaro. It works on the
continuous relationship between design and research.
The activity takes in both small scale projects and urban design, placing
particular attention on the issues of landscape and city.
The Laboratory has taken part in several competitions winning awards
and recognitions. It has also participated in exibitions of international
renown.
Among its important projects are the project on the redevelopment of the
Port of Crotone, exhibited at the Venice Biennale, The 10th International
Architecture Exhibition Cities (2006); It won 2nd prize for the project of
urban redevelopment, environmental and architectural area of the historical
center of St. George (RC), Italy Quality competition, “Sensi contemporanei
(2009); The design of the entrance to the Museum of Reggio C. (2009),
which received a special recognition.
The study team has grown over the years taking advantage of the
presence of young designers: Giovanna Falzone, Beniamino Fabio Arco
e Lucia La Giusa.
