On February 27, 2020, the project hosted its first annual CyberNorth event in Luleå, Sweden. The event drew just over 100 attendees from small and medium-sized businesses, authorities, and organizations, who listened to and engaged with security experts on digital security and emerging trends. Sweden and the world went into lockdown just one week after this successful event due to the pandemic.
In 2025, the speakers were mostly women, all with extensive professional experience in cybersecurity and innovation. The 2025 event was organized in partnership with other cybersecurity projects at Luleå University of Technology. The number of attendees increased to 140, who enjoyed the speeches and the live broadcast from the stage.
