(this year it was 35) which is an online interview where we ask them a
number of equine and personal questions that high management and
myself review. We then choose the applicants that passed phase 2, by
answering most, if not all, of the questions correctly, to phase 3 which is
the one-to-one interview with high management. We then pick 8 people
from the list of the applicants we interviewed using a bespoke weighing
system that was designed especially for the Masar Godolphin selection
by one of our partners.
Q8.
What kind of
person are you looking
for?
For me, as the Head of Masar
Godolphin, the most important traits
that I will be looking for are discipline
and passion. I believe that these two
complete each other and result in
great, enthusiastic, and creative
people that will have a lot
to offer.
Q9. What is the one thing that His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin
Rashid Al Maktoum has said to you that you’ve kept to heart and
never forgotten?
My father has been working for His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin
Rashid for many years now, and the first time I met His Highness Sheikh
Mohammed bin Rashid, my father introduced me to His Highness, and
he said to my father, “I know Ali from his work, and I can see that he will
follow in your footsteps, and eventually be better than you (my father)
in the future.” This made my father very proud, and made me want to
always do my very best to constantly give a 110% in anything I do.
Q10. What advice would you give to the 2018 Masar Godolphin
applicants?
Never think you don’t have a chance to pursue your dreams because you
are living a country that thrives on developing its people before its
skyscrapers. Masar Godolphin is made and tailored to see young,
talented, and enthusiastic UAE nationals become future leaders in the
industry. So, if you have the discipline and passion to be part of Team
Godolphin, then do not hesitate to apply for the scholarship!
