ON THE COVER JORDAN GOODEN PHOTOGRAPHY BY PAM MBANGA STORY BY I'M HERE WITH What we have learned from the artist who influences the stars of tomorrow, we will alwasy remember and you should too. We have seen first-hand the affect that Jordan has on others when absorbed in his artistic state. Jordan carries himself with a charismatic confidence that paints every interaction with an aura of grand significance. Jordan’s contagious positive energy also effortlessly draws people to him. Jordan is typically one to shy away from self-promotion, but after many attempts we have convinced him to share his story with our readers. We are so honored to have this brilliant young talent grace our 3rd edition. Jordan most recently was a lead character in Sex Lies and Murder (season 1), now available for viewing on ReelzTV and TV Guide by Calgary's Pyramid Productions. I'm Here With has coined Jordan Gooden, a Canadian Icon that is influencing the new stars of tomorrow. You can see Jordan on Jann on CTV, Sex Lies and Murder on Reelz Channel and soon Tribal on ATPN. What makes Jordan very special from our point of view of working with you from doing photos to acting is the way that you think about art is very different. Maybe for you Jordan, you don’t see that because you are you but what we see is that you take every detail to heart and also to the description to how you are going to make it feel creating it. Do you notice that within yourself? Jordan: I do, as I do everything with a soul intention, something I feel is translated through the what I create and what I feel is the energy of the other person I am creating within turn that gets translated into visual art that you see today. I define motion visually, not just for myself but the people who are a part of it to show them whether they are in a dark state of mind or feeling bright and optimistic. There is beauty in all aspects of everybody. IHW: This is the first time that you have let a magazine do an exclude on you and some people would say why didn’t you before and we want to know why now you’re letting the public finally see you. Jordan: There comes a time in every man’s life where you have that aha moment, that moment of knowing self and the ability to live up authentically, transparently and vulnerable. That has not been a strength of mine until recent years. In order to help people understand me, I had to first understand myself. IHW: What do you find is the most challenging thing about doing what you do. Jordan: Helping someone’s vision come to life is beyond just listening to them, it’s becoming them. The difficulty in becoming someone else in order to visually translate it to the masses is understanding that person in a way that they don’t even understand. How do you get someone to tell you who they are if they don’t even know. So I guess a lot of it comes from words that aren’t spoken and it is just showing the final product. I make more people see themselves in new ways than a lot of people do I think. Is it difficult? Yes. To create art I have my own creative process. In all of the times, it just starts with a calm state and the ability to listen with my eyes and my ears. 50 | I'M HERE WITH
