PDM : In the early 20 ’ s people want their clothing to be fitted , yet the older you get the baggier the clothing fit . How do you compromise to all body types ?
DM : It was really important to me that Wellwear be for everyone , whether that is an 18 year old starting University or an 80 year old looking for new pyjamas . I have been in the industry for 20 years and this brand is the culmination of all my knowledge in terms of quality , fit and feel .
PDM : Wearing a softer and comfortable fit , it is like wearing a second skin . What fabrics do you use to make sure it does fit like a second skin ?
DM : Fabrication was key when we were designing Wellwear , as we wanted ultimate softness and comfort , but also to ensure we were as sustainable as we could be . It was less about fit and more about feeling . The best natural fibres , including Pima cotton , lyocell and modal , guarantee ultimate softness when connecting with the skin and natural properties such as body temperature regulation and moisture wicking create an additional layer of comfort . Wellwear also pushes the boundaries of affordable fabric innovation by applying technical treatments to garments to physically enhance the wearer ’ s wellbeing . Garments treated with ‘ Wellwear Breathe ’ have anti-odour and anti-bacterial properties which reduce the need to wash clothes after every wear , increasing longevity of the garment and in turn having a positive wider environmental impact . Garments treated with Wellwear Care use aloe vera plant extract which provides wound healing , anti-inflammatory and moisturizing properties .
