PDM : Fashion and style is part of the David Gandy DNA . What makes David Gandy Wellwear so special ?
DG : Starting my own brand is something I have wanted to do for over a decade , and the launch of David Gandy Wellwear is the culmination of years of hard work and learning , turning this vision into a reality . I have collaborated with brands previously but this time my name is above the door and I am involved in every single aspect of the business which makes it even more special and important to me .
PDM : You bring a fusion of fashion , function and feeling into the concept of the brand . What science based evidence brought to this conclusion ?
DG : I believe that clothing should not only make you look good , but it should make you feel good too . A large number of studies have shown that the effect of touching soft fabrics can enhance your psychological wellbeing and reduce negative emotions . It was important to me that this was not simply another lounge wear collection , but instead that we moved the narrative forward to look at why we love comfortable clothing so much .
