CEO ’ S NOTES

As we celebrate over 10years in the business with our 30th Edition later . I have to say how proud I am at the contribution made by my team , and to the extent how far we have gone since 2010 . From our very first interview with Steve Forbes from Forbes Magazine ; which is the hallmark how Polo de ’ Marco is set . To now creating an empire where we have established another magazine called ; THE CONCEPT which is about advance technology , artificial intelligence , robotics , science and eco-engineering which are my two favourite loves ‘ luxury meets technology ’.
When people think that 2021 was a continuation of a bad year from Coronavirus and Omricon . For us , we have expanded where we have created different avenues to broadcast the content we create . So , again in mid-2021 we created the Polo de ’ Marco Podcast where we go into the minds of the greatest people on earth . To me as a publisher I learn a lot from the people I interview . For instance , what it takes to be the most famous women on earth aka ‘ Susan Bennett ’ the original voice of Apple ’ s ‘ Siri ’. Whether you love her or hate she is the only one that people rely on . Whether it be bad joke , asking about the weather or even taking advice from a artificial intelligent computer . But , to me she is REAL as it comes . The reason why she struggled to get a job and her first gig was the voice of First National Bank of Atlanta ’ s “ Tillie the All-Time Teller ” to now being the voice of GPS Navigation Software , McDonalds and off course digital voice for ScanSoft the technology used by one of the worlds largest premium companies ; Apple . So , the lessons learnt from interview and getting to know the person to me is quite outstanding and surreal ; and with that in mind you don ’ t need to be educated or have extensive knowledge but the persistence to do your best and take every opportunity that has been given to you and appreciate it .
To me what its like to be an entrepenuer I do believe why Polo de ’ Marco has been so successful over 10years in experience is because of the persistence . Because no matter what you place in your life and the life that you live . You have to fulfil it with 100 % of your capacity . To me someone said ‘ You not become successful ’ and that publishing is hard industry to get into and ‘ you will be lucky to last 3years ’. Hence , those words to me I found that try to hurt me ; but to me personally I felt it made me stronger and gave me the drive to work hard , stronger and become resilient to point where I still today keep my focus and drive to move forward .
So , in hindsight what I would like to say to people is that ‘ No matter what you do , and no matter what people say ’. Always stay focused on you ’ re goal as it is the pillar to your success and when they are throwing bricks . I say “ I ’ m am building an EMPIRE !”. And that is what we will continue to do in the future .
