What is the Assouline brand?
What do you stand for?

ssouline is currently the leading
luxury book publisher focusing on
art, travel, design, fashion - ultimately
lifestyle and culture
The company was founded by both my parents,
Prosper and Martine Assouline, in Paris twenty-
five years ago. Having always proudly stood for
luxury and culture, we are dedicated to inspiring
through the pages of our titles while evoking
emotions and providing information. In essence,
we fully embrace the importance of a lifestyle
devoted to the celebration of the very best in
culture.
I feel honored and fortunate to say that we
have been recognized by many wonderful
publications in the industry such as WWD, as
“the fashion crowd’s favorite publisher.”
How do you decide which books
to publish?
It all started when Martine and Prosper, being
the avid book lovers they still are today, found
themselves troubled by how challenging it was
to find what they were looking for in books—so
they decided to create their own style.
As a company today, we carefully select
each topic based on what we know and love.
Familiarity to the subject is always a must. We
travel to the places we cover and in turn, our goal
is to make our audience discover it through our
lens. To further enhance our works, we make it a
priority to select some of the best, most notable
authors for whichever specialized subject we
have at hand.
Our initial ideation when creating our works
begins with either a love story, a destination, an
artist, or even a brand. Whichever topic it may
be, we are here to tell the story, celebrate their
heritage and make their legacy come alive in a
timeless, beautifully made book.
