were appointed by Philippine
President Rodrigo Duterte as

ANSWER: CCP has always been
in the f orefront of nation-building
through artistic productions, arts
education and training, and audience
development. Being its chairperson is

Philippines thrives on its diversity, especially in the
arts and culture.
3. What do you do as chairwoman of CCP and

ANSWER: As the CCP chairperson, I have the

the Center and secure its sustained competitiveness
in a manner consistent with its fiduciary
responsibility and in the best interest of the CCP.
It also includes approving corporate operating
budget and supplemental budgets, as well as
finding the right person to fill in the vacancies in
the Board. Together with the CCP Board, it is my
duty to identify key risk areas and key performance
indicators and monitoring these with due diligence.
I need to periodically evaluate and monitor the
implementation of the CCP’s strategies and policies,
business plans and operating budgets as well as
management’s overall performance to ensure
optimum results.
As for the plans, I hope to ensure a continued

providing sound policies and strategies to help with
policy decision-making and capital expenditure.
