This includes President Eisenhower, most of the Rockefellers, and Audrey Hepburn, among others. Rich and Luxurious History of The Hassler Hotel The globe’s most sought-after stairway ends immediately in front of the Hassler Roma. Designed in 1723 to 1725, the Spanish Steps connects to Piazza di Spagna at the base along with the Church of Trinit à dei Monti atop. Everyone falls in love easily with the rooms overseeing such pleasant views of the ancestral ambiance and Piazza di Spagna. For many years, The Hassler has been known as one of the most iconic and independently owned 5-star luxury hotels in Europe. The owner Roberto Wirth is now deemed as one of the icons of the hotel sector in the continent. The story of The Hassler began in the 1870s. It was the time when Bucher bought and established the Trittal region of Switzerland. Back then, it was inaccessible and remote. For almost two years, he created various hotels apart from the Hammetschwand that currently is the highest chair lift in the region. In 1890, he presented his son-in-law, Heinrich, to Rome to be the manager of the Hotel Minerva. There started the historical connections of the Wirth family with Rome. Oscar, Heinrich’s son, also merged the Hotel Hassler in 1921. He became the partner of Albert Hassler, another Swiss hotelier, and eventually the owner of the respected hotel in Rome. As the son of the most successful Swiss hoteliers, Mr. Hassler purchased the palazzo in 1893. That resulted in the relocation of the family from Naples to Rome. After the nineteenth century, the high society of the city was utilized to hosting visitors in their own homes. The term homes here are referred to as the most stunning palazzi on the planet. This is where social life happened within private gardens and walls. The aristocratic ambiance, its service, and position instantly attracted the local society as the hotel progressed. For a few years, they have already turned out to be the most famous destination for diplomats, poets, executives, and well-held tourists from different parts of the world. In 1921, Oscar Wirth approved an offer from the heirs of Mr. Hassler to take over the management of the hotel. The massive success and status of the Hassler increasingly improved. The Hassler, later on, became the acknowledged leader in the hotel sector throughout Italy in 1925. It was the same time as the emerging of the European tourists and the ever first continuous quantity of American travelers.
