Q1. How do you describe you’re art? My art is a connexion between Science and Spirituality, between mecanic quantic and general relativity. My work talks of the sense about the original life, where we from ? Who we are ? And where we go ? It’s a perpetual reflexion about our environnement and what it’s real or not. Q2. You mention in you’re bio that you have a face in you’re painting. Who’s face is it? Or what kind of image do you use? I really don’t know who are these faces on my paintings. I think it’s at the same time a autoportrait, a projection of my life and feelings, and a face of « my muse » Elsa. But sometimes, I can’t prevent me to think it’s the face of my mother, or the mother of everything, of everythere. Q3. When it comes to you’re techniques - how would you describe it? And how are you trying to sculpt you’re paintings? My technique travels in several medias on the canvas. I use the same techniques from the Rennaissance artists but with actuals materials. I work with a lot of « Lavis » and « Sfumato » to create a transparency in my characters and portraits, and after many layers, volumes appear, from the shadows and lights. Like Rennaissance sculpturs. Q4. You bluer the body and features of your images. What is the techniques to do that and what is the purpose of it? I mix a lot of materials, acrylics, inc, sometimes, pastels or oil, to create strange sensations where we can see transparent character, merges with the Nature around him. It’s a long process of many layers, but with that technic, i can find a « surreal atmosphere » to make evolves my character and my feelings. not going in one direction, we can feel and translate what we want. So I point to a world, and after we can make the travel like we want. Q7. You have a sense of beauty and fragility in your work. Why is that?  I try to translate the fragility and the beauty of Life, just simply. Q8. You use a canvas that is palimpsest - why do you such materials and how people see you’re impressions? I’m referring to the art history, and i create a history into the canvas. For this, I juxtapose many materials and I sand down for recover the face or other on the surface of my painting. Thanks to that, I can give a past to this painting, and we can build a life before the real creation of that painting. Q9. You use ‘artificial intelligence’ in your work. Why is that? And what are the responses from you’re customers? Yes, I use this concept to create a faintness to Q5. You have a Matrix thing going in your the spectator. When we speak about artificial images - where you talk about sex and it intelligence, we are fascinate and also affraid, so i becomes no more than memories. Why is that?  keep this for the realization of my sculptures. In this Because I want to create a contradiction beetween the matrice (matter) and the immaculate conception of the soul, in the Universe, nothing disappears, everything is tranformed. Q6. What kind of emotion do you want to bring into you’re paintings? I don’t try to bring a specific feel in my painting, anybody can see a particular emotion about this, and a particular senses or other thing ... My painting is part of my work i try to give a organic appearance to my sculptures to disturb senses of the spectators or collectors. Q10. Lastly, tell me in one word - who is Fabien Bouguennec?
