Around the globe with Ablazablaze 2016 N otable artwear designer, events stylist and accessories maven Luis "Jun Jun" Ablaza's annual Ablazablaze exhibit and birthday celebration has always been a much awaited spectacle since it started in 2011. This year though was a different Ablazablaze experience as he deviated from his usual opulently themed party tableaus. For the first time in years, he slightly veered away from his previous Ablazablaze themes for a fashion runway extravaganza. He collaborated with notable designers Steve de Leon and Michele Sison together with fashion stylist Roko Arceo to revamp and reconstruct casual street gear denims into artistic ensembles that reflects his penchant for the extraordinary, whimsical, as well as his artistic explorations across the globe. The fashion show had four segments that featured the Asian, American, African, and European continents. A Filipino tribal ensemble of weaved fabrics sewn into denim jumpstarted the show. The Asian collection was a fusion of orientalia in Thai silk brocades, Chinese theater masks, brass gongs, Tibetan jewelries, Japanese patches and a variety of ornamentations all representing the rich and exotic culture, art, tradition, and lifestyle of the orient.
