As a company we have sponsored the club for over 20 years now and although work and other commitments don ’ t allow me to get down to see the guys play , as often as I would like , I keep an eye on the results and what ’ s happening through the usual social media channels and from
word of mouth from friends . The Saint`s are a really well supported club and many of our customers are club members or sponsors so it ’ s always a pleasure to give something back to help our local community . Youth rugby is vitally important for the continued involvement of this great club and efforts put in by parents , coaches , members and volunteers alike cannot be underestimated .

Stevie Wight played rugby from the age of 5 years old and is a valued and current sponsor of Dumfries Saints Rugby Club with his company Stevie Wight Electrical & Mechanical Services , he told Rugby Club Magazine ,
“ I played up until my mid 20`s when a serious ankle injury , whilst on tour in Wales , put an end to my playing days . It was a game against Seven Sisters Rugby Club and an air ambulance helicopter came and lifted me to Swansea Hospital . My ankle was badly twisted and broken facing the opposite direction from what it should have been and I always remember my mate , Johnnie Sloan looking at it and saying ‘ it doesn ’ t look that bad Stevie ’, and then proceeded to pass out !
I still have many really good friends at the club and like to help out whenever I can . Its great to see the lads competing so well in such a tough league and I would like to wish everyone associated with Dumfries Saints Rugby Club all the very best of success for the remainder of the 2021 / 2022 campaign ! ”
