“ As a young man my interest was more focused towards cricket but opportunity knocked as they say when and a school friend of mine , whilst chatting in the slip , during a game against Oxton invited me over to Anselmians Rugby Club . I was 18 years old at the time and played my 1st game for the 3rd team . My career lasted up until I was 29 when years of playing Loose Head took its toll on my back .
Anselmians Rugby Club has always been a special place for me and my young one ’ s godfather is a friend that I met through the club . I have always found rugby teams are filled with an array of different characters who all come together to make a fabulous group of team and friends . It ’ s great to see the 1st XV flying in the league at the moment and the quality of the front row is exceptional .
