Longridge Towers School have had a long and positive association with Kelso Rugby Club and with Scottish rugby . We would like to congratulate everyone at Kelso Rugby Club on being chosen as` Scottish Club of the year 2021` and wish you all the very best of continued success for many more years to come !

Adam Marshall is an ex-player and sponsor of Kelso Rugby Club with his business `Oink` . Adam has had the pleasure of playing amongst some of the greats at the Club , he told Rugby Club Magazine ,

“ My dad was a great sportsman but unfortunately never go to see me play much due to his commitment to me and our family , he would be working on the Saturday so I could play and making my way through the Harlequins and onto senior rugby . During the second year of winning the border league Eric Paxton and Gary Callander really took me under their wing and looked after me , something I will always be grateful for . It was with great sadness that we lost one of our own recently in the unique and outstanding friend and player Gary Callander !
Poynder Park was always my favourite ground to play at and I loved its central location in town and the amazing crowds that would be their supporting the teams . So many outstanding players come to mind , with the likes of Bob Hogarth who many of us thought -`this guy is just too brave` !
There ’ s a real freshness about the club at the moment with Scott , Paul Utterson , Neil and Murray Hastie and of course a great band of many other friends including coaches Kev and Bruce who I would like to thank for their service to the community and club and a special thanks to those who are no longer with and who pulled on the black and white jersey`s of Kelso Rugby Club !”
