Navitas English – which forms part of the Careers & Industry (C&I) division of Navitas – has a new name: Navitas Skilled Futures!

The name change, which came into effect in December 2021, is part of a wider review designed to better reflect the scope of programs, focus of work, and positive impact on clients, stakeholders and communities.

Navitas Skilled Futures General Manager, Jetinder Macfarlane, says since Navitas English began delivering the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) in 1998 on behalf of the Australian Government, it has grown to deliver a range of other vital and diverse programs. Skills for Education and Employment (SEE), Career Transition Assistance (CTA) and Foundation Skills for Your Future (FSfYF) are programs that meet the evolving settlement, education and employment needs and goals of clients.

"Navitas Skilled Futures tells the story of the journey our clients are taking as they learn and apply the unique skills they need to live their most fulfilling lives in Australia," Jetinder said.

"From language, literacy, and numeracy skills training to digital, work and life skills preparation, at Navitas Skilled Futures we believe everyone should have access to the expertise and support we provide to build a successful future.

“We look forward to continuing to work towards this shared goal under our new name. What remains unchanged is our commitment to deliver trusted English language, education and employment-focussed programs in partnership with the government and our communities."

Navitas Group CEO Scott Jones  welcomed the name change, acknowledging that it better reflects the brand's future focus.

"Since Navitas English opened its doors more than 20 years ago, it has delivered the AMEP to more than 250,000 people, earning its place as one of Australia's leading providers of English, digital and workplace skills to newly arrived Australians," Scott says.

"We are proud to provide genuine support and opportunities that help to change lives, and we are now doing that in many more ways, so it is fitting that our name encapsulates that.

The brand refresh includes an updated website and domain, while the new logo retains the well-recognised Navitas swish with the descriptor of Skilled Futures.

Scott says:

“… with our new name comes the same commitment. At Navitas Skilled Futures we are passionate about transforming people's lives for a better future in Australia."
