There's a new digital resource available for our educator and student services community.

Effective Student Communications is a simple guide to help student-facing staff who wish to enhance their written communications skills.

The guide was developed in response to requests from across the organisation for assistance with our written communications with students.

We interact with students daily, through a variety of digital channels. Done well, these many interactions help create positive relationships for both ourselves and our students.

The guide consists of four sections: communicating with respect, the tools to communicate, providing actionable feedback to students and helping students to communicate.

The corporate communications team sought expertise from both communications and learning & teaching colleagues to produce the guide. Effective Student Communications has been developed with the goal of enhancing student interaction and achieving more positive outcomes in less time.

Feedback on the guide is welcome.
