Volunteer leave extended to help communities affected by floods

For staff not directly impacted by the floods but wanting to help their community,  all our divisions have approved one-off additions to the Volunteer Leave Policy.

This consists of extending the two days of volunteer leave to support involvement in flood clean-up, or any  related community activity.  In addition, non-permanent staff  (casual/sessional) can access  two volunteer leave days to support those  impacted by the flooding event.request will be sent to your manager for approval.

How to enter leave

Permanent staff:  submit via the Employee Self Service system (where annual leave is submitted). Volunteer Leave is listed in the drop-down options.

Sessional/casual staff:  leave request access is open for volunteer leave in Employee Self Service (system where payslips are located). The request will be sent to your manager for approval.
