Roman completes bathrooms at Snowdonia ’ s new Hilton Garden Inn
Newton Aycliffe manufacturer Roman has revealed its involvement in one of Snowdonia ’ s landmark projects , the new Hilton Garden Inn .
The Hilton Garden Inn brand continues to build on its reputation for creating beautiful hotels in beautiful locations .
Having successfully completed the Faroe Islands Garden Inn , Roman was chosen by HH Smith to furnish the 108 bathrooms in Snowdonia .
The hotel is set in the stunning Conwy Valley in North Wales within the Adventure Parc Snowdonia , surrounded by hills next to Europe ’ s largest inland surf lagoon and a magnet for water-sports enthusiasts .
Roman – with a 400,000 sq ft manufacturing facility on Aycliffe Business Park – has an extensive team of in-house designers and all of Roman ’ s products are designed and made in Britain . Working with the contractor from the outset , it was an ambitious build programme due to the pandemic . But despite this , regular communication and project planning meant Roman ’ s elements of the project were delivered on time and a true working collaboration was formed with HH Smith .
Michael Smith , contracts manager at HH Smith , said : “ HH Smith & Sons and Roman Showers worked very closely to delivery this brilliant design and finish .
“ Delivery dates and material procurement were key due to the pandemic so we made sure there were clear design approval dates , material procurement dates and finally delivery dates .
“ With this all agreed this made the installation process a lot easier and didn ’ t cause any delay to our programme .”

IMPORTANCE OF CYBER SECURITY
We are all at risk of cyber attacks and , for business owners , the stakes are high – both for your business data and your businesses financial well-being .
Here are five key things to consider when thinking about your cyber security . 1 Good password management Don ’ t use the same password for everything . Don ’ t keep them written down near your device in case of theft . And don ’ t use traditional passwords like ‘ Password1 ’. Because of social media , a lot of your data is out there for all to see , so avoid key dates in your passwords . 2 Update software Installing software updates for your operating system and programs is critical . Always install the latest security updates for your devices when asked . 3 Phishing Beware of suspicious emails and phone calls . These are emails and texts sent from what appears to be a trusted source , asking to provide confidential information . Always double check if something doesn ’ t seem right . 4 Back up your data You should always back up your data on a regular basis . Most of your information will be in the cloud , but could still be subject to attack . We ’ d always advise to regularly copy your data offline in case the worst happens . 5 Install antivirus / anti-malware protection It goes without saying that you need the best antivirus and anti-malware protection . Some products are fine for small businesses , but the needs for larger businesses can be more complex .
