appointed two new business development managers to further extend its growth .
Throughout the global pandemic , Excelpoint ’ s team has continued to work from home , supporting customers to efficiently and effectively introduce remote working , enabling workforces worldwide to access central systems and information .
Due to the urgency to transition to homebased working , it deployed software for both new and existing customers at pace and costeffectively .
Excelpoint – usually based at the Work Place on Aycliffe Business Park – has seen demand for business process automation increase significantly in recent years as organisations embrace new digital technologies to achieve efficiencies and costsaving .

TEKMAR WINS NEW WIND FARM DEAL

Tekmar Energy has won a new contract from cable manufacturer Prysmian Group to supply its Generation 10 TekTube Cable Protection System ( CPS ) for the Neart na Gaoithe ( NnG ) offshore wind farm in the UK .

The 450MW NnG project , jointly owned by EDF Renewables and ESB , is located in the Firth of Forth , Scotland .
Once complete the project has the potential transformation .”
The two new members of the business development team bring a wealth of sales and account management experience .
With a career spanning 40 years , Dave Spencer has a wealth of business development experience across software , retail , training and education .
Dave has also spent many years on the bench at Teesside Magistrates Court and as an IMB member at HMP Kirklevington prison .
Paul Shackleston has over 30 years of business development experience working in the financial services , photocopiers and document management software , and capital equipment sectors .
The appointment of Paul and Dave will enable further growth for the business and expansion into new markets .

INNOVATIVE FLAGPOLES A Newton Aycliffe firm has launched a new innovation which allows its aluminium flagpoles to be installed onto shipping containers frequently used across construction sites .
The new container flagpoles system is the first of its kind in the UK and enables contractors and housebuilders to make building sites highly visible to visitors and passers-by as soon as work starts and before main site branding is installed .
The innovation has been launched by Newton Aycliffe-headquartered Harrison Flagpoles , based on Grindon Way .
SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT SERVICE A County Durham project which helps people with disabilities find employment has won multi-million-pound funding to establish its service .
Durham County Council has been successful in its bid for £ 3.6m from the European Social Fund ( ESF ) to set up a new supported employment service for people with disabilities .
The new service , DurhamEnable , will be made up of a team of job coaches who will work one-to-one with people to support and prepare them for secure paid work .
