CONSTRUCTION FIRM ’ S £ 650m FLEET INVESTMENT
A
construction company now has the capacity to deliver over 200 tonnes of scaffolding and fall safety materials to sites throughout the UK every day from its Stockton base .
JMAC has invested more than £ 650,000 in its fleet , which has almost 60 vehicles , from small vans and drop sides to articulated vehicles , and represents a significant upgrade to its stock .
The articulated vehicles will be used throughout the UK from JMAC ’ s Portrack Lane headquarters .
JMAC ’ s new fleet includes the RNZ truck , which incorporates a Hiab crane that enables easier positioning of products and equipment in heavily built-up areas , as well as an additional Mercedes Flatbed .
The new trucks are being used to ensure the safe , efficient and effective delivery of JMAC ’ s range of fall safety products and scaffolding operations to national home
builders , industrial sites and construction contractors .
Additional features include sensors , cameras and enhanced warning systems for improved visibility of vulnerable road users .
As part of the company ’ s commitment to safety standards , the articulated trucks are fitted with sensors to alert drivers to bicycles and pedestrians , an audible and visual warning and in-cab monitors that provide the driver with a 360-degree view .
The scaffolding division vehicles have also been made specifically with specialist hook loaders capable of easier and safer lifting , due to the reduced lifting angle capability of the hook-lift equipment fitted to these vehicles .
Recent success has seen JMAC transport teams travelling around the country to deliver to sites from Cornwall to Perth and as far as Ireland .
