A new strategy is helping to make Teesside University an internationally recognised catalyst for business productivity and growth .
Teesside 2025 : Ambition Delivered Today is Teesside University ’ s new corporate strategy which builds upon its previous achievements and consolidates its position as a highperforming , global institution that delivers at pace .
The university ’ s mission to be an economic engine and an anchor institution for the region is a key part of the strategy , which establishes Teesside as a catalyst for business productivity and growth , engaging nationally and globally in sectors aligned to its academic strengths .
The commitment to the regeneration of the local economy has already been evidenced in a number of recent initiatives supported by the university . Building back together Teesside University is calling for Tees Valley businesses to come forward and take advantage of support and expertise that has so far helped hundreds of businesses and individuals bounce back from the pandemic and put their growth on the fast track .

businesses with 339 projects , launch 11 new businesses , work with a total of 34 start-ups , and prepare 26 budding entrepreneurs through its Microbiz Academy programme .
The university also matched 156 graduate interns with work in Tees Valley businesses and provided digital skills training for 276 people .
After recruiting the equivalent of 420 full-time apprentices , the university now has more than 1,000 apprentices on programmes , bucking a national trend which has seen a fall in numbers .
