Set in 1965, Selma allows us a closer look at the campaign led by Dr.Martin Luther King Jr to obtain equal voting rights for African American citizens. The majority of the political battle is based in the deep south. Here, King organizes marches from the small town of Selma to Montgomery, Alabama to dissuade President Lyndon B. Johnson from hesitating on voting rights legislation.
Henrietta’s may be gone, but breakfast places live on in Roger’s Park. Revival has taken the place of Henrietta’s next to the Granville Red Line stop near the corner of Granville and Broadway. Revival has amped it’s look with a pine green and cream color scheme. Revival serves a variety of breakfast food from omelets to pancakes. Revival also serves brunch, lunch, and dinner. The dinner menu includes wraps and pastas. While Revival may not be the best replacement for Henrietta’s, dinner items are something new. If you have some time between classes, stop by for a bite.
