1. The Chronic Napper

This is the person you always see snoozing away in the corner. You’ve only seen this person sleeping, so you wonder if they even go here because you’ve never seen them doing anything else. At some point though you take pity on them, because clearly they don’t seem to be able to get any sleep at home.

2. The Hugger

Regardless of how many times you tell this person you don’t do hugs, they always attempt to hug you. And this person doesn’t believe it’s a hug unless they’ve broken a few of your ribs.

3. The Squatter

This person basically lives in the musallah. You watch this person sleep, eat, pray, chat, etc in the musallah daily. At this point, you wouldn’t be surprised if you went to do wudu and saw this person talking a bath. They consider the musallah their second home and aren’t ashamed to admit it.

4. The Splasher

This person is the reason you wait until no one is in the foot bath to do wudu. Their splashing makes you wonder if they’ve ever heard of water conservation. Most likely they just forgot to take a bath in the morning and are trying to make up for it.

5. The Aunty/Uncle

The MSA should just consider making a position on Shura for this person. They feel it is their responsibility to remind everyone to eat something/pray on time/oh no its raining, don’t forget your umbrella. They also feel the need to offer unsolicited advice. Once in a while though, they say something profound and you’re thankful for their constant, albeit annoying, presence in the musallah.

6. The Rummager

This person confuses the musallah for a one stop shop. They are constantly rummaging through the bookshelf, cabinets, or kitchen in search of God knows what. But really, what are they always looking for?

7. The Energizer Bunny

Crazy would be an understatement when describing this person. This is the brother/sister who is always “on”. You’re convinced they are constantly drinking coffee, red bull, or any drink laced with excessive amounts of caffeine. But on days when nothing is going right, you secretly hope to run into this person in the musallah because their energy is infectious.

7 Types of People You'll Find In The Musullah

Chances are you run into at least one of these characters when you visit the musallah.
