TARASKA OVERCOMES ROOKIE vs ROOKIE SHOWDOWN FOR TITLE

Kyle Tarska's

When Kyle Taraska showed up in Michigan at the start of the season not many people considered the New Jersey driver a threat. 100 laps later everyone watched as Taraska celebrated his first POWER Series win and staked his claim as the driver to watch in the points battle. Winning as a rookie in the POWER Series is nothing new. Many drivers do it and many journeyman drivers do so without even running enough races to classify themselves as 'rookies'. Taraska, however, made noise in a different fashion during the season. Yes, he managed to win again later in the season at Bristol but the driver took consistency to the next level during his title march. Of the 19 races the series ran this past season, Kyle finished in the top 10 in all but one of them. He also managed a series best finishing average of 4th for the season.
