FOCUS ON PUNCHING

A SMOOTH FLOW

Groven + worked on the Port House in Antwerp, designed by famous architect Zaha Hadid.

A new automated punching system has enabled Belgian manufacturer, Groven +, to process almost 1000 metal sheets per month for large architectural projects.

“ Groven + is transforming its production process to optimise efficiency. The Belgian company is discovering the various benefits of Industry 4.0 with automated punching machinery from LVD.”

Groven + is a Belgian specialist in building façades for non-residential use: windows, domes and external cladding. It was founded in the 1990s and specialises in building facades such as aluminium joinery as well as aluminium and glass facades, mainly for larger office buildings. The group’ s annual turnover is € 30 million, with activities in Belgium, Luxembourg and France. It celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2023.

Although aluminium profiles form the basis of its aluminium joinery, Groven + has always invested in sheet metal working. Its first sheetmetal processing machines in the early 1990s were supplied by Belgian manufacturer, LVD.
Because of the size and especially the complexity of the projects that Groven + undertakes, there is a lot to consider. An
