Founded in 1959 and headquartered in Switzerland, Feintool has become a fineblanker and tool manufacturer with 17 production plants and technology centres in seven countries on three continents. Approximately 3,100 employees and 100 apprentices work globally. Construction work on a new plant in the Pune metropolitan region in India began in the first half of this year.

As a national association in Germany, the IBU represents companies in the sheet metal industry and their partners. Its members are predominantly family-owned SMEs, with a high degree of specialisation and experience, and are mainly suppliers to sectors such as automotive; electronics; machine and plant building; furniture; construction and medical technology. The IBU also represents the interests of members in politics, customer groups and academia.
The association offers technical seminars, practical working groups and regular information services for corporate practice, plus professional advice on law and business through its network of experts, plus technical exchanges between members. Members are integrated into the network of the business association for the steel and sheet metal working party( WSM), the working group of suppliers( ArGeZ), the Federation of German Industry( BDI) and the ICOSPA network.

Gilardi was founded, as a manufacturer of sheet metal components, in 1970 in Olginate( north-east of Milan, Italy).
Experience gained from the cold forming of sheetmetal / blanking and the design and construction of tools have enabled, over the years, the gradual diversification of its business. The company now works in the automotive, appliance, electrical, hydrosanitary and furniture sectors, manufacturing customised products based on customer drawings as well as Gilardi-branded products.
Gilardi also offers welding, spot welding and assembly, along with coating and packaging, services. It also designs and makes dies to produce blanked parts in sheet metal and copper for the appliance, electrical and building sectors( for products such as hinged bodies for household appliances etc.).
