A sustainable project
AGIC was also completely renovated as an environmentally friendly building . Through collaboration with major general contractors and various manufacturers in Japan , the latest air conditioning equipment and lighting was installed , energy consumption has been reduced and renewable energy is utilised . This includes the large-scale installation of solar power generation .
As a result , CO₂ emissions have been halved compared to that generated by the previous Solution Centre . Idling functions on chillers and compressors in the facility also help to decrease CO₂ emissions . In total , CO₂ emissions at the AGIC are expected to be reduced by 700 tons per year .
As a machinery manufacturer in the global metal-processing market , AMADA intends AGIC to play a central role for its solution centres and technical centres in Japan and overseas . AMADA has also adopted sustainability in selected machine-tool designs , with features such as servo drives .
“ We will also collaborate with our facilities around the world to create future-oriented manufacturing and innovation , and will disseminate this information worldwide ,” AMADA added .
New product introductions

AMADA also held the “ AMADA Group New Products WEEKS ” from 10 May to 2 June 2023 at the new AGIC facility in Isehara .
“ At the event , we introduced the new ‘ LIVLOTS ’ software designed to connect people , things and events to achieve manufacturing DX , and the new environmentally friendly sheet-metal processing machine that features new NC equipment ( AMNC 4ie ) that can be used by anybody anywhere ,” outlined AMADA .
Presentations were also given on various topics such as sustainability initiatives ; the labour shortage caused by the declining birthrate and aging population ; skills transference and action on AI and DX in accordance with advances in information technology . Suggestions were given on solving customer issues as the developers themselves explained the technological benefits of various new products . New products were also demonstrated in the “ Innovation SITE ” at the AGIC .
