“ Almacam is now available as a Saas solution , providing a completely flexible and all-inclusive service for users to program machines and draw up quotes , enabling them to deal with the variability of their activity . In addition , a focus will be on Nest & Cut , the web application that nests parts and generates the NC code for machines in a few clicks . Machine-tool manufacturers or software developers will also be able to discover more about Alma ’ s Cloud software components for cutting optimisation ,” it said .

BOSCHERT ’ s CuMaster can punch copper of up to 305mm wide and 20mm thick . All eight stations can be equipped with eight-way ( D . 16mm ) or three-way ( D . 31.7mm ) Multitools . A 200 x 8mm cutting station is also an option . The clamp width is automatically adjustable and can be moved on both sides in the X axis . This enables processing without a leftover piece .
“ Finished parts go to the unloading side . Different positioning and unloading options are available . The length of the discharge side of the X-axis can be varied . The new Schneider control makes operation and tool change easy . Powerful software enables fast programming . The cutting cylinder of the CuMaster is designed in two stages ( slow strokes with 60-ton force and fast strokes with 22-ton force ),” explained BOSCHERT .
A needle marking device on the unloading side is used to identify finished parts . Pneumatic loading systems with a length of four or six metres can optionally take over automatic loading of the CuMaster .

At Blechexpo 2023 , ARKU ( Baden-Baden , Germany ) will be exhibiting its deburring / leveling technology .
“ Drastic time savings are possible thanks to ARKU Wizard intelligent software . Users just need to input basic data about the parts ( thickness , material type etc .). The software then calculates the optimal processing settings and recommends the correct tools . This means that even novice employees can operate ARKU levelling and deburring machines . As skilled workers are still hard to find , this is an immense help for sheet-metal processing companies ,” it explained .
“ During live demonstrations , the Wizard will be in operation on an EdgeBreaker ® 6000 deburring and edge-rounding machine . This machine has been designed to meet laser job-shop requirements and is extremely flexible for uniform edge rounding , even up to a 2mm radius ,” it added .
Visitors to the ARKU booth will also be able to see a new handling solution for parts of different shapes or sizes .
