FACE TO FACE
The C-Gate IoT Platform .
Digitisation and networking are also playing an increasingly important role in the welding sector
The individual requirements of our customers are clearly the focus of the further development of our digitisation solutions from individual component identification to offline programming ; 3D measurement ; automatic operation and production data monitoring ; scalable dashboards and preventive maintenance / servicing . Soon , we will combine our diverse digital solutions into an integrated platform .
ISMR : Where do you see the greatest challenges and opportunities ?
AV : We continue to feel a high level of tension in procurement markets . However , the trend is going in the right direction and global markets have stabilised . Nevertheless , the global political situation is difficult overall .
We are also currently confronted with numerous challenges from material and supply bottlenecks to the shortage of skilled workers and the effects of the energy crisis . We are experiencing more uncertainties and are less able to predict future developments . This means that our flexibility and adaptability are even more in demand .
Due to developments in recent years , there are worldwide market shifts . There are many opportunities to enter new markets and expand our market presence . In North America , for example , we see great potential right now in automated welding .
ISMR : Are there any products / technologies that you have released or are releasing this year that you would like to discuss ?
AV : Our classic product portfolio ranges from simple welding power sources for manual welding to cobot welding solutions and compact robot cells to highly complex production lines with integrated upstream and downstream processes . In all product areas , we drive innovations and further developments to make our customers ’ welding production more efficient .
At the FABTECH trade fair in Chicago this September , we will present the QIROX ExperT which is our new product line for standard components in the automation sector . The range includes predefined compact cells and compact systems as well as a modular construction kit concept for robot systems . Our customers particularly benefit from the simplified quotation process and the rapid availability of standard components .
ISMR : Which exhibitions will you be attending this year ?
AV : This year , CLOOS can be found at numerous trade fairs around the world . The highlight will be the SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN trade fair in Essen , Germany ( find us in Hall 3 , Stand 3C63 ), which is finally taking place again for the first time in six years . At the same time , we will also be taking part in the FABTECH trade fair in Chicago .
In October and November , you can also find us at the MSV Brno show in the Czech Republic ; the Maktek Konya Fair in Turkey ; the CIIE in China and Blechexpo / Schweisstec in Stuttgart will then follow .
ISMR : Is there anything else that you wish to add ?
AV : With many new products , we will again set high standards in manual and automated welding technology in 2023 . We look forward to seeing everyone again at SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN ! n
