LVD innovations at Blechexpo
Belgian sheet-metal specialist , LVD , will address the challenges of metal fabrication with new laser- cutting , bending automation and software integration solutions at Blechexpo in Stuttgart , Germany ( 7-10 November 2023 ). On its stand 1808 in Hall 1 at the exhibition , visitors will find the new Phoenix FL-6525 laser with a large cutting range of up to 6510 x 2600mm and bevelcutting option .
“ Its large format makes cutting oversized sheets easy and efficient ; high dynamics ensure high-quality cutting results . The bevelcutting head provides precise control of the angle and depth of the bevel to cut intricate contours or for weld-prep operations . The Phoenix FL-6525 at Blechexpo will feature a 12kW laser with bevel head ,” LVD told ISMR . Making its debut at the show will be the Easy-Cell 80 / 25 . LVD ’ s latest robotic bending cell , which combines an Easy-Form 80 / 25 press brake with KUKA robot , automates the bending of a range of part geometries up to 1600 x 1200mm ( weighing up to 25kg ). and robot program , with no robot teaching required .

CADMAN-Flow uses a single point of entry to a complete software suite : software for ( robotic ) bending , laser cutting and punching , Manufacturing Execution System ( MES ) and Smart Drawing Importer . Via one portal , users can import and verify parts and assemblies , create CAM programs , import production orders and retrieve production information from the touch controls , improving the speed and flexibility of the process flow ,” added the company .

Combilift celebrates 25 years
The COMBi-CB 70E handling steel plates .
Combilift , the Irish manufacturer and global supplier of customised handling solutions , is marking its 25th anniversary by introducing five new models throughout the year . Following the debut of the very compact Combi-CUBE in April and the 15,500lb-lift capacity Combi-CB15-5E in May , a further innovation will be unveiled on the first day of the FABTECH exhibition in Chicago , USA , at 11am on booth A2959 .
“ Our products , which have lift capacities from 2,000 to over 220,000lbs , are all
designed for the safe , space-saving and productive handling and storage of the various loads typically handled in the fabricating sector , many of which are long and bulky . Our customised range is characterised by robust , straightforward design and is built for reliable long-life operation . All products are easy to service and maintain ,” said Combilift .

According to the manufacturer , there has been a move towards replacing ride-on forklifts with pedestrian-operated stacker trucks for safety reasons , particularly when working alongside pedestrians . Combilift will be exhibiting its Combi-WR4 , multidirectional-reach stacker and the Combi- CS counterbalance stacker , which both incorporate a feature common to all Combilift walk-behind models ; its patented offset tiller arm .
“ This means that operators are no longer required to be in the dangerous ‘ crush zone ’ behind the truck but can now safely operate the truck from the side , where they also have excellent visibility of the load and any other people nearby ,” explained Combilift . n
