At Blechexpo 2021 , as well as its automatic sheet metal feed-in device , Swiss bending specialist THALMANN will be presenting one of its latest innovations : an automatic sheet metal flipping device .
“ There are numerous benefits of this automatic sheet metal unloading unit . The basic idea is that the whole system around the TD double folder can be operated by just one employee and run either in full or semiautomatic mode . Within an instant , the complete unloading unit can be automatically folded away and stowed underneath the part buffer . The space in front of the machine is cleared and jobs can also be completed without full automation needed ,” explained the Swiss bending specialist .
“ Modular automation solutions need less manpower and reduced part handling which means a significant reduction of manufacturing costs . Efficiency gains , freed-up capacity and last , but not least , higher safety levels for machine operators are further benefits ,” it added .
