The PowerBend Professional , a popular Schröder machine , offers the option of an up-and-down folding beam . Counter-folds can be made without turning the sheet , which makes handling large sheets easier and reduces the risk of damage .
“ With a working length of 4,040mm , the EVO-CENTER bends up to 3.0mm thick steel sheet . The 3D-graphic control POS 3000 , operated via a 22 “ -touch-screen , controls the almost automated production . With its Advanced Handling System ( AHS ), including a rotating plate and an automatic tool changer , this machine can be extended to become a fully automated bending centre in a production line . The EVO-CENTER is made for series production with repeat accuracy and , with its rapid tool-changer , is also suitable for the flexible production of single pieces and small batches ,” said the company .

Jorns , a Swiss manufacturer of bending and double-bending machines / folders , developed its dynamic positioning ( DP ) function years ago and has now taken this to the next level . Dynamic positioning compensates for deformations at the ends of profiles during the bending and closing of parallel open hems .
“ The control technology allows users to measure , control and position clamping arms individually , and to keep them in position during bending . The clamping force exerted on the part remains even during the bending process . This reduces , or even completely eliminates , significant over-bending at the ends of profiles ,” it explained .
Dynamic positioning ( DP ) allows the uniform closure of a hem over the entire length of the profile ; it is programmed into the control system and lets the clamping arms exert more pressure in the middle of the profile , up to the maximum clamping pressure if needed . Jorns bending machines / folders can also be retrofitted with this function .
