Intelligent plate rolling in focus

On one advanced FACCIN plate roll, three technologies have combined to change the way bending is done: E-DRIVE, EYE-BEND and AUTO-BEND.
E-DRIVE
The FACCIN EDL E-DRIVE plate roll intelligently combines electricity and hydraulics, with electric rotation of the top roll and hydraulic movement of the lower rolls.
“ Save energy and roll strong at the same time. The objective is not electrification for its own sake. It is about using the right technology where it delivers a real advantage. The result is a plate roll designed for higher efficiency, greater speed and increased productivity, while reducing its operational impact,” said Faccin.
“ The numbers make the difference tangible: rolling speeds of up to 10m / minute,
35 % lower energy consumption, 70 % less oil waste and a 10 – 15dB reduction in noise,” it added.
