UNIGRIP storage system
UNIGRIP is a honeycomb storage system, from KASTO, with rack support and integrated saw options. The close dimensions of the operating gantry crane allow for greater space utilisation and short cycle times. The cassettes can be modified to individual requirements by adding dividers, lining of the material supports or floor plates.
Using the dual output station, the production line can be rapidly supplied with the necessary semi-finished products.
KASTOlvr, was also swapped for the latest KASTOlogic software.
“ A lot of work needed to be done, but after seven working days it had been completed on schedule. During the three-day commissioning that followed, our personnel trained KWM Weisshaar employees on using the new technology. After that, the storage system was fully operational over two shifts per day. The KASTOlogic software can be interfaced with the proALPHA enterprise resource planning system in use at Mosbach, ensuring seamless data transfer,” KASTO told ISMR.

Above: Kasto replaced all the electrical components in the UNIGRIP buffer storage system( including the switch cabinets, control panels and drive controllers), installed new Profinet bus technology and upgraded the energy supply to the overhead gantry crane.
