The Bend Calculator determines the required roller positions to achieve the desired radius, while the Calibration Calculator calculates recommended machine settings for calibration in seconds. This can eliminate unnecessary test bends and reduce preparation time, said HAEUSLER.
For more complex geometries, the Multi- Radii function automatically generates CNC programs for complex bending operations, including multi-pass processes. This, said HAEUSLER, makes geometries that would traditionally require extensive operator experience easier to program and reproduce.
The Apple Calculator supports the operator in determining different ways of achieving the desired geometry when producing cylindrical parts with the typical“ apple shape” that can occur during rolling.

“ With its closed-loop approach, Autonomous Bending uses process feedback to control the bending result and adapt the process where required. For large components such as pressure vessels, silos and wind tower sections, this can have a significant impact. The larger the workpiece, the more costly manual corrections and rejected components can become.
