CAMU offers“ complete coil experience”
For over 46 years, CAMU has been designing and manufacturing slitting lines, cut-to-length lines, press feeding systems and complete coilprocessing solutions for customers worldwide. From its headquarters in Bressanvido( Italy), the company has continuously invested in engineering expertise, innovation and customer-driven development, building an international reputation with more than 900 installed lines operating in 97 countries across five continents. It delivers what it calls“ The Complete Coil Experience” to its customers.
At EuroBLECH 2026 in Hanover( Germany) from 20-23 October 2026, CAMU will welcome visitors to two dedicated exhibition areas. In Hall 17( stand D46), the company will showcase its latest slitting and cut-to-length solutions, developed to meet the growing demands of modern steel service centres for precision, productivity and operational flexibility. In Hall 27( stand E172), the focus will be on CAMU’ s advanced press feeding systems that are designed to optimise material handling, improve production efficiency and integrate seamlessly into automated manufacturing environments.
Over the years, CAMU has built its reputation on tailor-made engineering, long-term reliability and a customer-centric approach. Every project is developed in close collaboration with its customers, starting with the customer’ s production goals.
“ Rather than offering standardised equipment, we develop tailor-made solutions capable of processing a wide range of materials— including carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, brass and highstrength steels— while ensuring maximum reliability, process stability and long-term performance. This customer-oriented engineering philosophy has enabled us to establish long-lasting partnerships with some of the world’ s leading steel service centres and metal manufacturers,” CAMU told ISMR.
“ Innovation remains the driving force behind every new development. Advanced automation, premium-quality components, intelligent process control and bespoke engineering enable our systems to maximise productivity, minimise downtime and consistently deliver product quality. This helps our customers to strengthen their competitiveness in an increasingly demanding market,” it concluded.
The second generation of the founding family is now actively leading CAMU’ s future development.
At EuroBLECH 2026, visitors will discover CAMU’ s latest technologies, meet its technical and commercial specialists and discuss solutions designed to improve efficiency, product quality and long-term operational performance. n

Track and trace sheet metal components
For the past two years, control cabinet system manufacturer Rittal has been using the Track and Trace solution from ANDRITZ Schuler to identify all sheet metal components throughout the production process and to automatically link production and quality data. The lasers engrave individual codes directly onto the flat parts, which are then used to create the enclosures. This creates the basis for end-to-end identification of each individual component.
Rittal, founded in 1961 in Rittershausen, is part of the Friedhelm Loh Group. The Group is now one of the leading industrial companies in control cabinet technology, power distribution and air conditioning as well as software for electrical engineering and coordinated automation solutions. Rittal is also a technology driver for AI-enabled IT infrastructure.
At its plant in Dietzhölztal, Germany, the company primarily manufactures large control cabinets and VX IT racks for various industries. Rittal and ANDRITZ Schuler have
had a close business relationship for many years: Rittal control cabinet systems are also used in ANDRITZ Schuler’ s production environments.
The components of the control cabinets are given a unique identification number by the Track and Trace system. The marking is carried out directly in the production process without additional manual work steps. This ID is linked to all relevant data throughout the entire production process. This includes material data of the coil, process parameters of the system, quality checks as well as storage and transport information.
“ The biggest improvement for us is the traceability and the quality of the feedback,” explained Johannes Muczinski, Head of Operational Management, Rittal RGS.“ Previously, we had to rely on manual feedback. Now we receive information about the stock in our interim warehouses much faster. This means that we avoid unnecessary overproduction and can manage our capacities in a more targeted manner.
“ The cooperation with ANDRITZ Schuler was very good and very close right from the start. Together, we developed a prototype and tested it under real conditions. The knowledge gained helped us to identify optimisation potential at an early stage and to further develop the quality of the plants in a targeted manner. Both sides benefited from this joint learning process,” he concluded. n
