Eco-designed process films at EuroBLECH
Reducing the carbon footprint of their operations without compromising industrial performance is a major challenge for players in the metalworking industry. Novacel will present its latest process and protective films designed to limit CO₂ emissions on stand D224 in Hall 13 at EuroBLECH( 20-23 October 2026 in Hanover, Germany). The company will also conduct demonstrations of the way its films are applied on a machine from Walco, a sister company of Novacel.
OXYGEN: sustainable innovation initiative
“ As the market’ s first eco-designed line of process and protective films, OXYGEN supports manufacturers in their efforts to reduce their carbon footprint while maintaining the performance expected for the most demanding applications,” said Novacel.
“ Among the most innovative developments is our OXYGEN Vegetal + 3300GAC film. An eco-designed alternative to the well-known 4228REF— which we believe is the global benchmark for laser-cutting films— Novacel 3300GAC is composed of more than 80 % bio-based materials. Suitable for laser cutting operations on stainless steel and aluminium, it reduces carbon footprint by 80 %* while ensuring reliability, cut quality and industrial productivity,” it continued.
The latest addition to the line, OXYGEN Recycled 3134, is designed for pre-painted metals. It contains 25 % post-consumer recycled polyethylene and reportedly reduces the CO₂ footprint by 11 %*( according to the manufacturer) while maintaining the technical performance expected by fabricators.
Demonstrations at EuroBLECH
Throughout the EuroBLECH trade show, Novacel will be offering demonstrations on its booth of how films are applied to metal surfaces using one of its‘ Walco by Novacel’ laminators. Visitors will be able to experience the performance of Novacel’ s solutions under conditions that closely mimic realworld industrial environments. They can also discuss their surface protection, productivity and sustainability challenges with the company’ s experts.
“ EuroBLECH is a unique opportunity to meet industry professionals and share our vision of innovation. We look forward to welcoming our customers and partners to our booth to present our latest advancements and demonstrate firsthand how our solutions help to address the industrial and environmental challenges of tomorrow,” concluded Betty Bourmeau, International Market Manager – Bare Metals, Novacel. n
