AIDA progressive direct-drive servo press
AIDA’ s press line series includes transfer and progressive servo and mechanical presses, high-speed automatic presses for lamination and precision forming presses. The AIDA DSF-N2 is its unitised frame, direct-drive, progressive servo press.
“ The AIDA DSF-N2 press series has been designed according to the latest engineering standards. The press-critical elements have been verified using finite element analysis( FEM) under all operational loads,” it told ISMR.
AIDA DSF-N2 presses are equipped with AIDA’ s proprietary high-torque, low-rev servo motors for metal forming applications. Central slide guides significantly contribute to reducing the risk of tilting. The presses feature cast iron slides and monoblock frames for low-noise and low-vibration forming as well as flexible applications.

efficient transmission of loads to the kinematic components. The material’ s inherent properties offer excellent vibration damping qualities during the stamping process to enhance the durability and precision of the press,” said AIDA.
DSF-N2 Series is driven by the AIDA Servo Package. The power unit consists of a rectifier, a capacitor bank, a frequency converter and one or more AIDA servo motors. The system is controlled by proprietary software, allowing the process specialist to adapt the slide motion profile to the requirements of the forming process without compromising the productivity of the press.
At Blechexpo / Schweisstec in Stuttgart, Germany( 21-24 October 2025), AIDA will introduce its new BEX Series, a dedicated line-up of presses engineered specifically for manufacturing bipolar plates, a key component in fuel cells and electrolysers.
