New METEVO panel bending range agreed

Salvagnini, a global specialist in sheet metal fabrication systems headquartered in Italy, and Lanhao Intelligent Technology, a Chinese company specialising in proprietary control systems and panel bending machines, have announced a cooperative agreement aimed at“ broadening access to cost-effective and efficient panel bending solutions.”
Under this agreement, entered by the parties as independent entities, Salvagnini will exclusively distribute out of China a new range of panel benders( developed by Lanhao specifically for Salvagnini and marketed under the new METEVO brand). These machines will initially be launched across Asia, Middle East and South America.
“ The distribution of these METEVO panel benders marks a strategic step forward in delivering differentiated automation technologies to a broader customer base, driven by our extensive global presence, decades of application expertise and a

robust and professional service network covering most major markets worldwide,” commented Salvagnini.
Nanjing Lanhao Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. was founded in Nanjing, China, and specialises in advanced manufacturing solutions with a focus on sheet metal processing machines, CNC, automation and digitalisation. Building on its expertise in CNC development and mechanical engineering,
the company applies advanced quality and innovation management to deliver automation solutions across multiple industries. It built its success, according to Salvagnini, by being“ the first domestic brand to design and offer productive panel benders in China.” The company continues to pursue innovation-driven development, supporting industries in improving efficiency and embracing intelligent manufacturing.
Founded in Italy in 1963, Salvagnini is a global specialist in flexible automation systems for sheet metal processing. With a presence in 87 countries, 25 fully owned subsidiaries and five production plants in EU, the Group offers integrated solutions for cutting, bending, panel bending, punching and material handling( powered by proprietary CNC systems, software, IoT and smart factory technologies). Salvagnini supports customers in more than 170 industrial sectors. n

MK Float for sheet deburring and rounding

For those processing flame-cut parts with high thickness tolerances and significant warping, the MK float from WEBER( Hans Weber Maschinenfabrik) makes deburring and rounding these workpieces much easier. Visitors to Blechexpo 2025 in Stuttgart, Germany( 21-24 October 2025), will see the MK Float on WEBER’ s booth 5501 in Hall 5.
WEBER has entered its MK Float technology for the“ Blechexpo best-Award 2025” and has already been nominated in the“ Steel, Metal Service and Surface Technology” category.
“ Large-format, flame-cut parts have often been difficult, or even impossible, to machine deburr effectively. High-thickness tolerances, and especially the significant warping of workpieces, can overwhelm machines available in the market. This is now a thing of the past, with our new MK Float. First, the machine captures the shape of the workpiece non-contact at the machine inlet. The electronic unit control then activates processing of the workpieces, but just at the edges,” WEBER explained.
“ The force exerted by the individual planetary heads and segments of the grinding beam is pneumatically controlled. This ensures uniform processing of workpieces,
even with a warping of up to 10mm. It also prevents overloading of the tools, which makes the whole process feasible. Additionally, this method drastically reduces energy consumption and increases tool life,” added WEBER.
The machine, which WEBER will demonstrate at Blechexpo in Stuttgart, is equipped with the following units:
■ Float slag removal unit.
■ Cross grinding unit with float bolt grinding beam.
■ Float planetary rounding unit for removing secondary burrs and rounding workpiece edges.
A cross-grinding unit is necessary because a wide belt is not suitable for compensating up to 10mm, outlined WEBER.
“ However, the unit uses only half the width of the cross belt for processing the workpiece, always keeping the leading edge of the belt above the incoming workpieces. This enables multi-lane loading of parts with large thickness variations or warping, without risking the threading of the grinding belt edge. To ensure that the cross belt wears evenly and high-performance grinding belts can be used without excessively increasing costs, the machine control prompts the operator at set intervals of several hours or shifts to turn the belt to use the other half,” added WEBER.
“ The controlled float version achieves uniform rounding and high tool life. The MK Float features working widths up to 2250mm, and two-sided processing with uniform rounding. Low energy consumption is due to optimal tool delivery,” it concluded. n
