Corrosion-resistant, hybrid, acrylic coating
Chemcoaters, a steel coil-coating company, has engineered a new acrylic coating for galvanized steel for OEMs and steel providers. This new acrylic, ChemGuard Thin-Film Acrylic( TFA), is designed to substantially increase the longevity of metal products by protecting against corrosion. It combines technology from the company’ s traditional InterCoat ® ChemGuard portfolio with properties found in most acrylicheavy coating systems to create a durable,“ aesthetically pleasing” metal coating solution.

ChemGuard TFA provides enhanced corrosion protection and is dry-formable and weldable. The acrylic coating offers antifingerprint properties with a bright finish. The coating’ s InterReactive ® technology also offers cut-edge protection and self-healing properties while ensuring the acrylic cures with a thin, clear finish.
Chemcoaters intends to offer the new coating to strip and tube mills, steel service centres and OEMs. This coating is available for application at Chemcoaters’ line in Gary, IN( USA) or via chemical wholesale.
